Where Mountains, Ice, and Ocean Meet
Kenai Fjords National Park is on the remote Kenai Peninsula in southern Alaska. Its rugged landscapes span fjords, mountains and glaciers, including the huge Exit Glacier. Black bears are often seen along the high-altitude Harding Icefield Trail, which leads through forests and meadows to the vast Harding Icefield. Sea otters, sea lions and migrating whales inhabit Resurrection Bay, off the park's shoreline.
